A Gold Seal Discovered in Sichuan, China

Ming Dynasty's Royal Palace's Antique

A gold seal was discovered during the third official #excavation of Jiangkou Chenyin Historical Site in southwest China's Sichuan Province. This square-shaped seal is 10 centimeters long and three centimeters thick. It is made of 95 percent gold. The word "Shu" on the seal proves that it is from the Ming Dynasty's royal palace, and "Shizi" was the eldest son of the king. These characters indicate that the seal was owned by the sons of the King of Shu in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is not only a royal symbol, but also a treasure passed down from generation to generation.
