International School Teacher Awards China -ista

Teachers play a significant role in our lives and they are arguably the most important members of our society. They work tirelessly and yet sometimes not recognized nor celebrated. The International School Teacher Awards are there to recognize and celebrate excellence in education by honoring teachers, leaders and school administrators who work in International schools in China and have made an outstanding contribution to their profession.
The awards are run and organized by Hainan Elevate Flair an events management company based in Hainan China. The awards ceremony will be held in September every year on the weekend of Teachers Day.

Entry process
Entries must be submitted by a member of staff from the school in which they work, or by an external stakeholder. Each entry must have a written testimony of min 500 - max 1000 words from you and/or a member of the senior management
An entry can be for a teacher, headteacher, teaching assistant, principal, counsellor, nurse or whole school, or teacher team. The head of school or principal must be informed of the entry by you, prior to you submitting the form.

Entry policies
Schools can enter more than one nominee per category, but the entries must be unique; they can also enter other nominees in to other categories.
• An individual may only be entered into one category in any given awards year, unless, in the case of whole school or teacher Team
• If the nominee will be retiring before September 2021, they are not eligible to be nominated

Terms and conditions
ENTRY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For the purposes of the Awards an entry is the completion and submission of a category entry form.
An entry form can be completed and submitted by staff in schools or external stakeholders working closely with the school.
The Awards are open to any international schools wishing to enter a teacher, teaching assistant head, principal, or whole school currently teaching in China.
Schools can enter more than one nominee per category, but the entries must be unique; they can also enter other nominees into other categories.
An individual may only be entered into one category in any given awards year, unless, in the case of a team.
The istaw will contact Head of school or Principals to inform them an entry has been submitted. In the case of Head of school entries, the Deputy or School HR will be informed.
The istaw will not pass on details of the submitter to anyone making a general enquiry. Any enquiries of this nature will be directed to the Head of school / Principal at the school at whose discretion this information is disclosed.
